The purpose of the FASTER Hero Award is to reward those staff members who often go above and beyond to make a measurable difference in their operation. Last year, thirteen outstanding individuals/teams from across the country were recognized with this award.
To qualify for an award, the individual (or team, if applicable) being nominated must have initiated an action that made a positive difference in the way you do business. The action/implementation must have occurred within the last year and have had positive results that are measurable in some way. This can be qualitative (i.e., morale greatly improved, etc.) or quantitative (i.e., eliminated staff position, increased PM compliance, improved customer satisfaction as demonstrated through surveys, enhanced availability, etc.). Naturally, we would like for this improvement to involve FASTER in some way, but that is not a requirement. We want to reward excellence on the front line in whatever form it appears, so all entries will be considered.
The deadline for nominating your FASTER Hero has passed and 2008 submissions are now closed. Thank you to all who made nominations and for those of you who missed it, remember to nominate your hero next year!
Recipients of the 2008 FASTER Hero Award will be announced and honored during the 2008 CCG Annual Conference for Fleet Professionals. While we hope to see all recipients at the conference so that they may honor them, conference attendance is in no way required to be selected as a 2008.
